GEKKEIKAN

This was a mini project for creating a set of labels for an assigned bottle and brand. My assigned brand was Gekkeikan, a brand of primarily rice based sakis (also my favorite drink.). I was responsible for designing a logo as well as applying it in both a bottle label as well as a tag onto a bottle. The bottle chosen was a Jaegermiester bottle that I finished before cleaning out, and applying the main labels onto both flat sides of the bottle. I then tied the tag onto the top with some string. Unfortunately the bottle with the finished labels was lost before I could get a photograph, but the original designs still remain. The logo is based on koi fish, and is green as a call back to the main bottle color used in the saki bottles that I’ve managed to find. In production, I would most likely prefer that the green sections were instead cut out so that the green color of the bottles would come through instead.
