PRISM / MOBILE APPLICATION PROTOTYPE

A design prototype for an application named “PRISM”. Prism would be an application meant to rival applications such as the the XBOX or Playstation app, but made specifically for lovers of arcades. Prism would allow you to track your arcade machine high-scores, add and interact with other users, and search world best scores for your favorite games. For this project, I was responsible for performing market research, testing the prototypes, and wireframing, mocking, and creating the prototypes. Since the field of arcade gaming is a somewhat niche field nowadays, my main key goal was seeing whether or not individuals within arcades would use it. I found a general consensus that it was wanted, however I did notice a certain feeling that it would fly in the face of the spirit of coming to an arcade with friends. For now it’ll exist as a great exercise, but I might decide to develop it in the future. In the event that I do, the sizes of some of the design elements will change for better space use, and there might be some accessibility inputs as well such as language changing or a high contrast mode.
